Oh Grandad how I love you so,
What you meant to me you will never know,
Tears fall soft and then great,
As I remember and appreciate.
A gentle soul,
So sweet and true,
Loving us all from old to new.
The same old flat,
And chunky hands,
Soft and gentle never making demands.
A chatterbox you were,
Always on the phone,
Never content with leaving any of us alone.
So proud of us all.
So humble and true.
How special you were to all of us,
I am not sure that you ever knew,
But I hope somehow…
Now,
You most certainly do.
